Mediterraneo Cucina Siciliana in Pompano Beach

Last night six of us dined at this small, intimate Italian restaurant in Pompano Beach. It's a true pleasure to find a place that is so perfect! The food and ambiance make one feel as if you're in Italy. It's quiet enough to carry on conversation while tasting perfectly prepared gourmet cuisine. The wait staff is respectful and the owner most friendly. This was our third time at La Perla and we expect to dine there on many more occasions.

I've traveled Italy more than most for 35 years and I have to say that if you want to find food in Italy outperforming the food at La Perla, you'll have to know exactly where to go!Genuine, cooked with an abundance of love and good ingredients - and served with a smile. My wife and I keep coming back to La Perla and it has turned into the place to bring real friends.The host who's also the lucky man married to chef is always welcoming, have a great sense of humor and that goes for the waiters as well. Oh yes... The waiters... They are REAL waiters, well educated on food and wine and they know how to make every guest feel welcome.Only downside to this review: That I can't give six stars!

Just carried out for Mother’s Day. Absolutely delicious veal piccata caprice salad, amazing lobster ravioli! Thus is the real deal their seasoning and preparation is outstanding, mouthwatering delicious. Fresh baked bread with a great crust truly outstanding!

I had dinner here last night! What an authentic Italian restaurant. The owners greet you, treat you like family and the food was AMAZING! Check out my yelp review for some photos. This is the kind of place you go with the recommended dish. I did just that and the veal chop didn't disappoint. Then the homemade appetizer was out of this world. Oh now onto the dessert 🍰 all home-made in house by the owner herself. It doesn't get more authentic than this. Who ever knew they made a Cappuccino Creme Brulee. OMG I said I'd have one bite and the plate was empty. So the place itself is also another reason to go. It's very inviting and makes you want to bring your family back for another experience. Highly recommend this for your next Italian Dinner!

Quiet, intimate restaurant with personal, unhurried service. Great service, frankly. Portions are generous and the food is delicious. Some noise from traffic on Federal Highway but sit closer to the bar and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Parking at the back. If you've never been and you enjoy Italian food, you won't be disappointed.

This is the one restaurant you don't want to miss! Everything is made from scratch by Chef Manuela, bread, pasta, desserts!! We tried different dishes and every single one was cooked to perfection. The Italian wine was delicious and at the end the desserts (leave plenty of room). Thank you Lino and Gianni for such amazing food and service.

Being from out of town, we were not sure what to expect, the on line menu looked good so why not give it a try! The name should have given us a clue the restaurant is a Pearl in Pampano! We were very pleasantly surprised by the ambience, the Italian music, the waiters speaking Italian, the owner actually visited our table twice making us feel right at home, and of course the home made Italian food was absolutely delicious! Just like my Grandmother and Mother used to make, brought back some wonderful memories! We definitely would enjoy another meal here the next time we are in the area!

I ordered the Zuppetta di Cozze e Vongole and it was absolutely delicious! The clams, mussels, and seafood broth was yummy yum yum! First time and will be back!
